Healthy Meal suggestions for Cracker Barrel

This location is on the south side of the Interstate, making it much better for traffic headed East on I-40. Hard to tell that from the roadsign, so I was committed at this point. A few turns and corners would be a challenge for a larger vehicle. Otherwise, it was the same consistent Cracker Barrel experience. My Uncle Hershel's Favorite was excellent with grilled pork chop (I find the ham, bacon and sausage to be way too salty), poached eggs and hashbrown casserole. Served promptly. Coffee was good too. Totally would return to this Cracker Barrel.

Worst experience I have ever had at any Cracker Barrel location. My order was incorrect, had hair on my plate. When I informed the waiter he asked if I wanted anything else and that this would be taken off my check. That never happened either. I will be contacting corporate about this issue since the store itself doesn't want to hear me out.

Grilled pork chops are terrific. My girlfriend said she would not go that far. Mashed potatoes tasted like instant Mixed vegetables tasted kind of burnt but at least that gave them flavor Tea was great as was the service.

Stopped in for a late breakfast on a vacation trip from Chicago to Shreveport. Food was what we expected. The service had a breakdown. The waiter said our order was entered but didn't print out on the kitchen side, which meant the cooks didn't make it. Server said that the manager would come talk to us about the delay. Manager never showed up. Two customers who were seated just before us ordered, ate, and left before we got our food. So when we leave and are paying the check the cashier asked how was everything. I say, "It took a very long time for our food to come out." She replied, "I'm sorry, would you like to buy one of our scented candles?" No thank you. Cracker Barrel. you never know what you're going to get.

Worst and slowest service ever! We were a party of 5. Originally the hostess tried to seat us at a tiny table for 4 with a dining room full of empty tables. When we asked for something a little larger we received the eye roll followed by a wait staff disagreement over who would serve us. I can understand someone having an off day but the whole staff seemed to be in a foul mood. Food was not up to par. Pancakes were dry, over cooked and had a few burnt onions on top. I didn't ask for onions.

Best home style cooking around West Memphis. The staff is usually prompt and extremely polite.

ONE OF THE WORST MEALS MY WIFE AND I HAVE EVER HAD. Ordered soup. Arrived cold. Sent back to get it warmed Up. Waitress retired an said they could not wam it up and besides they were now out of soup. Hashbrowns like a board. Sausage over cooked.

I Have to agree with other reviews, worst cracker barrel I have ever been to. Usually you can expect consistency forget that with this place. So dirty in the dining area, and then don't use the bathroom unless you have no other choice. This might as well be a gas station.

Went here for breakfast on our way out of Memphis during our cross country road trip and it was horrible! Our coffees were never refilled, my french toast was dry and arrived with no syrup or sauce. I asked for the yogurt sauce that came with it and the girl had no idea what I was talking about. She brought me the wrong thing 3 times and was entirely rude with a bad attitude. Another waitress noticed we were unhappy and not taken care of and did everything she could to make it right. My food was cold by the time I got what I needed and at that point I just wanted to leave. I complained to the manager and he gave me a generic "I'm sorry" as though he receives complaints way too often and it's a common occurrence.

The food was good. I had the pecan crusted catfish was tasty. My son had the chicken and dumplings. He said it was good, but the liquid was real watery. Not thick. The service was done well. We were pleased with our server. The bathrooms were horrendous. Dirty.

The worst Cracker Barrel I've been to. I ate there for dinner about 9pm and breakfast the next morning 9am. Upon entering the store we were greeted. Before eating we decided to shop first. I stood at the cashier stand in obvious view of the cashier for several minutes she talked to some guy. When we went to the hostess she greeted us but she had no enthusiasm. She showed hardly any sigh of life. Our server was friendly but wasn't very personable. The next morning a different hostess showed the same lack of enthusiasm. It took our server longer than usual to greet us. He wasn't very friendly. It was like he was just going through the script and motions. Once he took our order he just left. He didn't say anything. He didn't repeat our order, say thank you, say "I'll have it out for you as soon as possible." Nothing at all! The only reason this is getting two stars is because the food was as good as any other Cracker Barrel.

UPDATE - April 2013 Tried going again with out of town family cause they pleeded to go. It was a little better than before. With the exception of them running out of EVERYTHING... sweet potatoes, fish, etc... They can NOT win for losing... If I was someone brand new to this food chain, would you as a server not explain to customers what comes out for their order. Well not only did we not get any waiting food (biscuits), the manager asked if we wanted any and we still didn't receive them. We were still eating, and she asked about the check, but you don't ask about desserts? Then the manager comes back out asking about the service, I explained about what took place and the biscuits and he assumed we got them even though these biscuits were with my meal. Second time they have had horrible service. Will be contacting corporate offices about this place.

We entered and we were expecting regular Cracker Barrel service. No problems with drinks or complementary biscuits. We all(seven of us) ordered our breakfast meals and within ten minutes three of the meals came out. Expecting the waitress to come out with the rest of our meals, it seemed like she took a fifteen minute break before our meals came out. Then I ordered chicken fried chicken but received chicken fried steak. She took my whole plate and took another ten minutes to get my chicken. The waitress first said she will take the meal off our tab then she came out and said she can't do it, which is something I don't understand why she couldn't have. The main thing that we were upset about is she never apologized for the mistake that was made. Overall unsatisfactory service.

Was seated immediately but took over 20 mins just to have our water brought out. No apology. No smile. No words spoken to us. We just got up and left. Have never seen such an unfriendly group of people in all my life. I generally enjoy Cracker Barrel but if this has been my first experience, it would have been my last.

Ordered 2poached eggs, Bacon crispy (burnt) that's the way I like it. Food came had only one and a half eggs. Looked like it was half eaten. Bacon barely cooked. Gak.

Typical chain. Not really caring about quality. No personality with staff. Precooked sausage was very dry. Film on top of grits and gravy. Eggs were good. They had to be made fresh.

I eat at Cracker Barrel often because I know what to expect and because the breakfast menu is good. So on a recent trip my family decided to stop here because we wanted to play it safe. Wrong move. The hostesses were very friendly and the wait was only 15 minutes (great for a Sunday morning). Then our server Chloe C seated us (party of 7). It went downhill after that. I don't know if she was new or overwhelmed by the large party but the service was very poor. Almost 15 minutes before we got our drinks. 5 people had something wrong with their order and she was very slow in trying to correct the problem. Once we brought it to the manager's attention a new server began to wait on us. What would have normally been an hour brunch turned into a 2 hour ordeal. Poor girl didn't know the difference between hashbrowns and hashbrown casserole. Please do better Cracker Barrel!

A long (planned) detour on a road trip from New York to Miami brought our immigrant van to this Cracker Barrel in Arkansas. After seeing millions of these restaurants on the way, we decided we would try the Southern style cooking for ourselves. Not sure what to expect, we were all pleasantly surprised. I had a pulled pork sandwich, which was great. And nobody could forget the sweetheart belle who was our waitress for the meal. Was so friendly and had the most lovely Southern accent ever. While our experience at this location was absolutely problem free, I have read that the company (it's a huge chain) has had some incidents with race relations/discrimination in the past, so for that reason I knock off a star
